Tastings and Consultation
Tastings and consultations must be a scheduled appointment. To have a scheduled tasting/consultation appointment we require a 20 serving minimum for your upcoming event. Cake tasting appointments can be made after you have submitted a wedding inquiry form. Please allow 72 hour notice for cake tasting appointment requests. There is a $25 wedding tasting/consultation fee. This fee will be applied to your deposit only if deposit is made the same day of tasting/consultation.
Three different cake or cupcakes flavors are offered for tastings. Please note that not all flavors may be available year round. Cake tasting/consultation appointments are available Tuesday –Saturday with Allison. Please call the bakery at (530)583-CAKE(2253) or send email to Info@SugarPineCakery.com to schedule an appointment.
All cake and cupcakes come with standard decoration which includes simple border and on site flower placement. Supplied ribbons, toppers, special cupcake wrappers and any other supplied decorations must be delivered to bakery at least 24 hours prior to event. Flowers for decoration supplied by your florist must be available at agreed time of delivery. Dyed frosting colors are not guaranteed. Please note that we do not make themed cakes.
A $100 non-refundable deposit and signed contract is required to guarantee your date. Your deposit will be applied to final balance.
Payments may be made at bakery, over the phone at (530)583-CAKE(2253) or by mail. Sugar Pine Cakery PO box 5476 Tahoe City, CA 96145 When sending payment by mail please indicate wedding name and date in memo section of check. Final Payment and count is due 14 days before event date. If final payment is not received by this deadline your order will be cancelled. Please refer to final payment date stated in your signed contract.
Cupcake stands, cake pedestals, wood rounds and platters are all available for a $25 rental fee. All rentals require a deposit the amount is based on the value of the item being rented. This check/credit card number will not be charged/deposited but held in trust and returned when rentals are returned to Sugar Pine Cakery the following day by noon in good condition. Missing parts or damage will result in no refund.
Venue & Setup
Cake/cupcakes and desserts are heavy and require an appropriate sized table placed on a safe, level and secure surface. Table and linen must be available at agreed time of delivery. There must be shade provided for dessert table if direct sunshine is a possibility. Optimal room temperature is 75 degrees or below. Sugar Pine Cakery cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to cake/cupcakes/desserts once delivery and setup are complete.
